Mosaic World Filmfest to host Persian movies

TEHRAN, Jul. 05 (MNA) – Two Iranian cinematic productions will take part at Mosaic World Film Festival in the US.

Saman Hosseinpour’s short film One-Nil (1-0) and the animation The Sound of Road by Barzan Rostami will represent Iran in the gala.

Iranian one-minute film One-Nil narrates the story of a boy who gets so excited watching soccer that he forgets he is in the middle of a haircut.

Hosseinpuor has made the film being sponsored by the Art Bureau of Sanandaj. The Art Bureau is the cultural leg of Irans Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IDO).

Seventy-nine short films and four features from 21 nations will take part in this year’s event.

Founded in 2008, the Mosaic World Film Festival aims to unite and promote filmmakers from all over the world through the creative and powerful medium of film.

The Festival will be held 28-30 August at the Nordlof Center in Rockford, Illinois.
