Two Iranian films compete at Belgrade film festival

Two Iranian screen productions have been screened at the 23rd Ethnography and Anthropology film festival in Belgrade.

Children of the Desert directed by Saadat Rahimzadeh andPackaging by Behrouz Karimzadeh have represented Iran at the year’s festival.

Iran’s cultural attaché in Belgrade Mahmoud Shaloui attended the festival’s opening gala held on October 15.

Iran has participated in several international film festivals in Serbia such as International Festival of Tourist, Ecology, Sports and Culinary Films – MEFEST.

Organized by the Iranian cultural office in Serbia, Iranian Film Week is annually held in Belgrade.  

Twenty-four films were selected for the competitive program along with 11 films featured at the informative program of this year s ethnography and anthropology festival.

Portugal, Spain, Japan and Belgium were among the participated countries at the festival.

Belgrade Ethnography and Anthropology film festival aims to highlight 
cultural phenomena of various nations.

The event which has been held at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade
will come to an end on October 21, 2014.
